Everything you need to know about a cylinder refill agreement and if it applies to you.

How does it work?

Although we call it a refill, you won’t actually have your bottle refilled on site. Instead, you bring your empty cylinder back to us and we exchange it for a full one.

Your returned cylinder goes back into the Calor system to be safety checked, inspected and reused.

Is a new CRA needed for my exchange?

If you’re staying within the same exchange group, you won’t need a new CRA.

For example, swapping a 4.5kg Butane for a 7kg Butane is no problem — your current agreement covers it.

However, if you’re moving to a different group (such as changing from Butane to Propane), a new CRA will be required.

If you’re unsure, just ask us and we’ll check it for you.

What happens if I return a bottle, and I don't want a new one?

If you decide you no longer need your bottle, simply return it to us in good condition with proof of your CRA.

You may be eligible for a partial refund of your CRA depending on how long you’ve had it:

Up to 1 year – 50%
Up to 2 years – 25%

Cylinders always remain the property of Calor and should be returned when they’re no longer needed.
