A Cylinder Refill Agreement (CRA) is a one-off agreement taken out when you first get a Calor gas bottle.
It covers the use of the cylinder itself. After that, whenever your bottle is empty, you simply bring it back to us and pay for the gas refill only.
Although it’s often called a refill, bottles aren’t refilled on site.
When your gas runs out, you return your empty bottle to us and we exchange it for a full one. Your returned cylinder goes back into the Calor system to be inspected and reused safely.
Only if you’re moving to a different exchange group.
If you’re swapping within the same group (for example 4.5kg Butane to 7kg Butane), your existing CRA covers it.
If you’re switching groups (such as Butane to Propane), a new CRA will be required.
If you're unsure, just ask and we’ll check it for you.
Each bottle size belongs to an exchange group, and each group has its own CRA charge.
The CRA is a one-off payment. After that, future exchanges only require payment for the gas refill.
You can view current CRA charges on our pricing page or contact us for details.
If you no longer need your bottle, you can return it to us in good condition with proof of your CRA.
You may be eligible for a partial refund:
• Within 1 year – 50%
• Within 2 years – 25%
All Calor cylinders remain their property and should be returned when no longer required.
No. Calor cylinders always remain the property of Calor.
The CRA gives you the right to use and exchange the bottle — but ownership stays with Calor.
No — Calor bottles can only be exchanged for Calor bottles within the same exchange group.
We cannot exchange other brands.
